Instructions

  • Heat milk and cream in saucepan until steaming.
  • Whisk yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl until smooth.

  • Gradually add remaining milk, whisking constantly.
  • Return mixture to saucepan and cook until thickened (8–10 min).
  • Stir in vanilla extract and strain mixture.
  • Pour into cups, press plastic wrap on top, and chill 3+ hours.
