Ingredients

For Strawberry Layer

  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries Hulled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar Or honey, adjust to taste
  • 1 cup Milk of choice Whole, oat, or almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon Strawberry syrup Optional, for extra sweetness

For Matcha Layer

  • 1-2 teaspoon Matcha powder Ceremonial grade preferred
  • 2 tablespoon Hot water About 175°F, not boiling
  • 0.5 cup Cold milk Same type as above
  • 1-2 teaspoon Sweetener Sugar, syrup, or honey

Optional

  • As needed Ice cubes For iced version
  • As desired Whipped cream For topping
  • A few Strawberry slices For garnish
  • A pinch Matcha powder For dusting

Instructions

  • Blend strawberries and sugar into puree
  • Mix puree with milk and chill
  • Whisk sifted matcha with hot water
  • Stir in milk and sweetener
  • Add ice to glass and pour strawberry mix
  • Gently pour matcha over spoon to layer
  • Garnish with strawberries or matcha
  • Serve immediately
