  • 1 Non-Stick Wok or Large Skillet 12-inch, for tossing noodles with sauce
  • 1 Fine-mesh strainer To drain noodles and reserve cooking water
  • 1 Sharp knife For mincing ginger and garlic
  • 1 Cutting board For slicing and prepping vegetables

  • 12 oz Asian wheat noodles Lo mein, chow mein, or ramen
  • 3 tablespoon Toasted sesame oil For flavor base
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh ginger Finely minced
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 3 tablespoon Soy sauce Low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup Sweetness & balance
  • 2 teaspoon Sesame seeds White or black
  • 2 stalks Green onions Thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Optional, for heat
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil For sautéing
  • 1 cup Vegetables (optional) Carrots, bell peppers, or snap peas
  • 2 tablespoon Peanut butter (optional) Extra richness
  • Lime juice Freshly squeezed
  • Few sprigs Fresh cilantro Garnish

Instructions

  • Boil water in large pot.
  • Mince ginger and garlic; slice green onions.
  • Cook noodles until al dente, reserve ½ cup water, drain.
  • Heat vegetable oil in skillet, sauté ginger & garlic briefly.
  • Add sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, and honey to pan.
  • Toss noodles with sauce, add pasta water if dry.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
