For the Base:
- 2 pieces of plain naan bread about 8 inches each
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Suggested Toppings:
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
- 12 slices pepperoni optional
- ¼ cup sliced red onions
- ½ cup sliced mushrooms
- ¼ cup sliced bell peppers
- Italian seasoning to taste
- Red pepper flakes optional
Prepare the Naan Base
Brush each piece of naan bread with olive oil, covering the entire surface.
Spread ¼ cup of pizza sauce on each naan, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over each naan.
Add Toppings
Add your chosen toppings evenly across the pizzas.
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
Add any remaining cheese on top of the ingredients.
Bake
Carefully transfer the prepared naan pizzas to the preheated baking sheet or pizza stone.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are golden brown.
In the last minute, switch to broil for extra cheese browning if desired (watch carefully to prevent burning).
Finish and Serve
Remove from oven and let rest for 1-2 minutes.
Top with fresh basil leaves and red pepper flakes if desired.
Slice and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
- Pat pepperoni with paper towel before using to reduce grease
- Don't overload with sauce to keep crust crispy
- For extra crispy naan, pre-toast for 2 minutes before adding toppings
