Ingredients

Chicken Layer

  • 4 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Topping

  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers crushed (about 30 crackers)
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley optional garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in sour cream and cream of chicken soup.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Fold in shredded chicken until evenly coated.
  • Spread mixture in prepared baking dish.
  • Top with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  • Mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle over cheese layer.
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Refrigerate leftovers up to 4 days
  • Can be frozen for up to 3 months (add cracker topping before baking)
  • Rotisserie chicken works great in this recipe
