Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Boneless chicken breast Cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Cornstarch
  • 2 Large eggs Beaten
  • 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil For frying
  • cup Honey
  • ¼ cup Soy sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 2 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger Grated
  • ½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes Optional
  • 2 tablespoon Water
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch For slurry
  • 2 Green onions Thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro leaves For garnish

Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry, cut into cubes, set up coating station with flour, egg, breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge chicken in flour, dip in egg, coat in panko, let rest 5 minutes.
  • Fry chicken at 350°F until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  • Simmer honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sugar, ginger. Add cornstarch slurry, stir until glossy. Toss chicken in sauce.
