Ingredients

Sandwich Components

  • 4 pieces Greek pita bread Soft, fresh pita works best
  • 1 cup Tzatziki sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Feta cheese, crumbled Tangy and salty flavor
  • 2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil For brushing pita
  • 2 medium Cucumbers Thinly sliced
  • 3 medium Tomatoes (Roma) Sliced
  • 1 small Red onion Thinly sliced, soaked in cold water
  • 0.5 cup Kalamata olives Sliced
  • 2 cups Lettuce (romaine) Shredded
  • 0.5 cup Roasted red peppers Sliced
  • 1 lb Chicken souvlaki (or gyro/lamb/falafel) Grilled and sliced
  • 0.25 cup Fresh herbs (oregano + dill) Chopped

Instructions

  • Prepare ingredients: slice cucumbers and tomatoes, soak onion, crumble feta, and prep tzatziki.
  • Warm pita in skillet with olive oil until soft and slightly golden.
  • Spread tzatziki on pita, add grilled protein, then layer vegetables and feta.
  • Wrap tightly in parchment or foil and cut in half. Serve immediately.
