Ingredients

Chicken

  • 6 Bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs Can sub boneless (adjust cook time)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For searing
  • 1 teaspoon Salt For seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper To taste
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Adds color and subtle heat
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder Dry rub flavor

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons Butter Forms the glaze
  • 6 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 0.25 cup Chicken broth Deglazing and moisture
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice Adds brightness

Instructions

  • Pat chicken thighs dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Let rest at room temp 10–15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken skin-side down for 4–5 minutes until golden, then flip and sear 3–4 more minutes.
  • Remove chicken, lower heat, sauté garlic for 30 sec. Add butter, then broth, and scrape browned bits to form glaze.
  • Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce around (not over) skin, add parsley and lemon juice. Serve immediately.
