Preheat oven to 350°F, grease and line pans with parchment.
Sift dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, salt).
Beat eggs, add buttermilk, hot coffee, oil, vanilla, then stir in melted chocolate.
Combine wet & dry, fold gently, add chocolate chips.
Divide batter into pans and bake 30–35 minutes.
Cool completely on racks before frosting.
Beat butter, sugar, cocoa, and cream until fluffy.
Frost cooled cake layers and serve.
