Ingredients

  • 1 package 12 count Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 12 large eggs
  • 8 slices bacon cooked crispy
  • 8 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives chopped (for garnish)
  • Coarse sea salt for topping

the Butter Topping

  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Without separating rolls, slice entire slab horizontally.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble in large pan until just set.
  • Layer in baking dish:
  • Bottom half of rolls
  • Half of cheese
  • Scrambled eggs
  • Crispy bacon
  • Remaining cheese
  • Top half of rolls
  • Mix melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley.
  • Brush tops with butter mixture, sprinkle with coarse salt.
  • Cover with foil, bake 10 minutes.
  • Uncover, bake 5 more minutes until golden.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs, serve warm.

Notes

  • Keep rolls connected while assembling
  • Don't overcook eggs - they'll continue cooking in oven
  • Can prep night before, bake in morning
  • Store leftovers in fridge up to 3 days
