Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup cocoa powder Unsweetened
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Balances flavor
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda Light lift to brownies
  • ¾ cup dark chocolate chips Dairy-free if needed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Cut avocados, remove pits, and mash in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Add coconut sugar, eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla; mix until combined.
  • Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking soda; do not overmix.
  • Fold in ½ cup of chocolate chips; pour batter into the pan and sprinkle remaining chips on top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until center is just set but soft.
  • Cool in pan for 15 minutes; lift out with parchment and cool fully before slicing.
