Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 6 Apples Honeycrisp or Granny Smith,peeled & sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • cup Maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg Ground
  • ¼ teaspoon Ginger Ground
  • 2 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 pinch Salt

Oat Topping

  • 2 cups Rolled oats Old-fashioned
  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
  • ½ cup Butter Melted
  • ¼ cup Milk Dairy or plant-based
  • 1 Egg Large
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch dish.
  • Toss apples with lemon juice, then add spices & cornstarch.
  • Combine oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt & cinnamon.
  • Whisk butter, milk, egg, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  • Stir wet into dry until just combined.
  • Spread apples evenly in baking dish.
  • Crumble oat mixture over apples in an even layer.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
